Orlando Pelayo (Gijón 1920-1990 Oviedo)

Orlando Pelayo was one of the most internationally successful Asturian artists of the 20th century and one of the most representative of the Spanish School of Paris painters.

Pelayo exhibited individually in prestigious galleries in Oran, Algiers, Paris, Sweden, Tokyo, Munich and, of course, Spain. In addition to participating in collective shows in Helsinki, London, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Mexico, Brussels and Prague.

His work is present in major international museums in fourteen countries as the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris, Georges Pompidou, public collections of the French State, the National Library of Paris, Fine Arts of Amiens, Grenoble, Saint-Etienne, Toulouse, Lille, Brest, Dunkerque, Vénissieux, of Poitiers, Cagnes-sur-Mer or the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.
